Escalation

What happens if no one from the group responds to the alarm?

Clever Logger allows you to escalate the alarm to a secondary group. After a configurable delay, Clever Logger can start notifying another group. If they don’t respond, it can escalate to another group, and another group.

This is useful for notifying staff who should be available, and then escalating to another department or supervisor.

Editing the notification group

A Notification Group can be a member of an Organisation or a Site

Select “Settings” in the menu and then select “Notification Groups”.

From there you will be able to add or edit notification groups, and do things like add or delete users from groups and change their notification preferences.

If FUTURE users are automatically added to this group.

For email, it is when they are added to the system.

For phone notification, it is when they first log in on a phone.

Who will receive the notification (by email or phone), the start notifications, the end notifications and the repeat notifications.

Editing the alarm setting

For every alarm setting (high, low, offline, low battery), you can specify what will happen with each notification group.

This is where you set the escalation delay (normally “no delay” for immediate notification).

The repeat until and repeat every are our “nag feature”.

The people in this notification group would be immediately notified and have the opportunity to make a quick fix to avoid a problem.

4-hour delay, repeating every 12 hours until fixed – This is notifying more people in the group so they will have an opportunity to resolve the problem.

No repeat reminders – This is a useful feature for notifying management that there was a problem and that there was potentially a significant issue that has to be followed up.
