A location is simply where a logger is located. It could be located in a fridge, freezer, out in the open etc.
A Site is a collection of locations. Initially we thought of them as different addresses (e.g. a pharmacist may have two stores) and that’s where the name came from. Practically, however, if you have two physical locations with the same staff across both, we would recommend a single “site” and just name the locations to indicate where they are (e..g Smith St Vaccine Fridge, Jones St Vaccine Fridge).
What makes a site a site is when you have staff that are not common to all locations. That is, if you have locations that one user needs to see but not another user.
You allocate locations to a site.
You decide which users can access that site and the data. Keep in mind that a user can have access to multiple sites.
The National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) is the recognised national accreditation authority for analytical laboratories and testing service providers in Australia. It is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that provides independent assurance of technical competence.
NATA accredits organisations to perform testing and inspection activities for their products and services. This gives consumers the assurance they need to make safe, healthy and reliable choices .
