What Is PoE and why might I use it?
Power over Ethernet (PoE) is a technology that allows electrical power and data to be transmitted over a single Ethernet cable.
This eliminates the need for separate power sources, making it a convenient solution for powering network devices such as the Clever Logger gateway.
PoE simplifies installations by reducing cable clutter and enabling devices to be placed in locations where traditional power outlets are unavailable or impractical. Additionally, PoE provides centralised power control, enhancing flexibility and scalability for growing networks. It also ensures a more cost-effective setup, as it reduces the need for additional electrical infrastructure while maintaining reliability and ease of use.
Two PoE options for Clever Logger
Ideal if you already have a gateway and would like to change to PoE to power it.
Ideal if you are plannng a new installation and would like to use PoE to power the gateways.
