Just over the horizon
For most of our existing users, Clever Logger is fine just the way it is (and if it isn’t, just let us know). It is simple and absolutely laser focused on what we do (temperature logging for vaccine fridges).
At the same time we know there are a huge number of other people (hospitality) who could benefit from Clever Logger. Clever Logger is good, but there are some technical problems with our existing loggers.
After literally years of development, we are about to release a long range version of Clever Logger. It is totally different hardware, using totally different technology.
That’s great news for some, but our big challenge was to make sure that we kept everything as simple as possible.
Our July release is all about simplifying the configuration process so we can add more options without more complexity.
But looking just a bit further over the horizon we then see a whole swag of new alarming options. The big thing about hospitality is that they want to know the moment something goes wrong. It’s still a couple of months away, but the developers are now sharpening their pencils.
What has changed?
Gateway Configuration
The biggest change is how gateways are added. It has been split up into smaller steps, made prettier, and given a major facelift. For most users, they will never add a new gateway so this isn’t big news.
There are some “select all” type options.
Deleting Accounts
You can now request for your entire account to be deleted. We’ll manually review this request so we can make sure there are no accidental deletions though.
Move a Location
You can now move a Location to a different site, or a completely different organisation. This can be helpful if your organisation has grown and you need to restructure, or if you’re just moving fridges between sites.
Many more improvements
We’ve made a lot of other improvements, such as being able to add all existing users to a new notification group, adding a ‘select all’ button when configuring alarms, improving the experience of entering a signin code, and a few bug fixes.
