It doesn't rain, it pours
And that means the washing piles up, the roads are eventually closed, and then … the power is cut.
Hopefully Clever Logger gave you the chance to respond and save your vaccines or food. Remember that you can easily move your Clever Logger logger (the small white square thing that sits in the fridge) with your stock.
And then Monday morning rolls around and you now have the “joy” of contacting the powers that be to decide what to do with your stock. That’s where this month’s release can help – time based reporting.
There are also rumours (i.e. random announcements) of changes to the logging requirements of vaccines in the sunshine state. While most of the people we have spoken to are still in the dark about it, we have made sure we are compliant.
Hour based reporting
It is Monday morning and you walk into a world of chaos. There have been power failures, road closures, water damage and patients already queuing up.
Fortunately we already notified you over the weekend that there was a problem and you hopefully had a chance to respond over the weekend. Now it is time to do the paperwork. With Clever Logger you can easily see the temperature readings in a graph, table or report. The graph has a nifty zoom feature, and the table has every reading.
This week, however, we have made a fairly significant change to the on demand reports. Previously you could specify the start and end dates of the reports. For your typical breach this would be in one day and we would give you the data for the day.
Unfortunately that was too much information for some, and they only wanted the data for the couple of hours in which the fridge was too hot or cold.
You can now specify the start and end times as well as the date. This allows you to run a report for the exact duration of the problem.

One for the Queenslanders
Last week we found out that Queensland is now expecting a vaccine temperature log every 3 minutes. Previously it was 5 minutes (in line with Strive For Five).
Oddly, most people have no idea what this is about, despite it coming out in an “official announcement”. Practically we don’t think there is a huge difference between 3 and 5 minutes and their effort would have been better spelling out what needs to happen when it goes out of range. But I digress.
Within hours we had a number of sites asking if they could do 3 minute samples. This was obviously a super critical issue for our Queensland users and our developers dropped everything to support it.
OK, it wasn’t a huge deal. Change a couple of numbers, test it and then include it in the next release.
But they did it, and now everyone can use it.
The fastest sampling rate available, by default, is now 3 minutes.
The reason why I say “by default” is because there is a secret setting that no-one knows about that lets us change it to 2 minutes. There are a few people that we will turn it on for, but for vaccines 3 or 5 minutes is more than fast enough. It helps us to continue to offer free hosting.
