What is a logger?

Explanation of a logger – what it is and how it works
Clever Logger Temperature loggers

The loggers

Loggers have a digital sensor that measures the temperature. They save the readings to their internal memory as a backup, and broadcast them to the gateway.

Types of logger

There are a number of different Clever Logger loggers.

Temperature Only – CLT-01

This logger has an internal temperature sensor on board. It is our standard logger, ideal for fridges (including medical fridges), freezers and ambient temperature.

Temperature and Humidity – CLH-01

This model measures relative humidity as well as temperature. Ideal for humidity sensitive areas such as ingredient and chemical stores, green houses, server rooms, etc.

Logger with External Probe – CLX-01

This logger does not have an internal sensor. Instead, its temperature sensor is in a metal probe at the end of a cable. Ideal for cool rooms and walk-in freezers – where the probe is passed through the outer wall, but the logger stays outside for better connectivity with the gateway. Also for logging temperatures in liquids.

1m Cable – CLX-01-10

5m Cable – CLX-01-50

Dual Sensor Logger – CLD-01

This logger has both a built-in sensor and a second sensor in a probe.

It is ideal for vaccine fridges where the built-in sensor measures the fridge’s air temperature, while the external probe can be placed in a vial of liquid to mimic actual vaccine temperature.
